Liverpool V Zenit

Liverpool were knocked out of the Europa League last night on away goals as they only got 4/3 of their comeback complete. The Anfield crowd was buzzing for this game as Rodgers wanted them to sing and create a good atmosphere.
Suarez scoring his first free kick!
Hulk scored from a bad mistake from Jamie Carragher as he passed it back and Huk scored to make it 3-0 to Zenit, meaning Liverpool had to score four goals because of the European away goals. Liverpool levelled through Luis Suarez. It was a very good free kick as he hit below the wall. It was a great goal as I was behind the goal in the Lower Anfield Road. Just before half time Joe Allen scored! His header was saved and he scored the rebound. In the second half Suarez scored an other free kick as he scored a great free kick! It flew in to the top corner. As Liverpool were 3-1 up with half and hour left it looked like Liverpool could do it, but Rodgers made changes with Henderson, Allen and Downing coming off for Assadi, Shelvey and Sterling! The changes didn't work and Liverpool went out. Just to say thankyou to the Liverpool fans I was around as they gave me a free hot dog and a coke! They said I was the priest of Anfield!

Arsene Wenger will he stay?

The end to an era?
The Fa Cup defeat to Blackburn at the Emirates really made Arsenal fans raise their eye brows about the future of Arsene Wenger. Arsene Wenger has been in charge of Arsenal for eighteen years. Arsene Wenger has finished in the top four for all of his time at Arsenal but know with twelve games left and Arsenal fifth and four points off top four it looks very doubtful.
Over years Arsenal have sold their key players such as: Van Perise, Nasri, Fabregas, Vieria and many more. But the real problem is that Wenger has never replaced them. If you look back at replacements for them they were average. When they sold Nasri and Fabregas in the summer of 2011 they bought Everton midfielder, Arteta. Arteta is a good player but he is not world class. And when they sold Robin Van Perise to their enemy's, Manchester Untied. And to replace him they bought Oliver Giroud and Lukas Poldolski.
From my opinion Arsenal will not sack Wenger because of his history. Wenger led Arsenal to a unbeaten season in 2003/2004. But Arsenal have not won a trophy for eight years and it is saying that do Arsenal need a manager that is hungry to win? Arsenal's best chance of winning a trophy in the eight years was the Carling Cup in 2011 when they lost to Birmingham in the last minute. That season Birmingham were relegated. The Arsenal board have came out today saying " Wenger's jobs safe". But how much longer do Arsenal fans have to wait for a trophy. Arsenal are ready to back Wenger in the summer by giving him £70 million to spend in the summer. Also Arsenal will give him a new two year contract. But if a bid comes in from PSG for Wenger it will be hard to reject from Wenger and Arsenal.

Manchester Untied V Reading: FA CUP

Reading midfielders Jimmy Kebe and Mikele Leigertwood are doubts with unspecified knocks.
Adam Le Fondre and Noel Hunt are in contention while Jason Roberts (hip) and Alex McCarthy (shoulder) are out.
Manchester's United Paul Scholes is out for another two weeks with a knee injury, so Tom Cleverley and Anderson could both be included.
Other changes could include returns for Javier Hernandez, Nani and Ashley Young following the draw with Real Madrid.

Liverpool V Swansea

Suarez dominated the game
Liverpool ended their five game without a win by beating a very weakened Swansea side. In the first half an hour Liverpool dominated but great saves from Vorm and great defending from Swansea kept it tight for the first half an hour. But when Suarez was brought down in the box, Howard Webb pointed to the penalty spot. Only on Monday night Liverpool's captain, Gerrard missed a penalty but this time he scored. Swansea were very fortunate to only go 1-0 down at half time.
Swansea's day got even worse when Coutinho broke through and he scored on his first full debut. And a great move from Liverpool involving Enrique,Suarez and Sturridge made it 3-0 Liverpool as Enrique scored. It was a great team move. And when Suarez was 1-2 with the Swansea defence he got past the two defenders and slotted it past Vorm. Liverpool got an other penalty by a handball and this time Gerrard gave the penalty to Sturridge who scored with ease. Liverpool day turned good to worse when Fabio Borini injured himself and now he is out for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury.

Champions League back!

Celtic V Juventus- From what I have heard of the team news I think this game will either be a draw or a victory for Juventus. It is unlikely that Celtic will win as Juventus are a very hard side to beat.

Valencia V PSG- This will be a tight game but I think PSG will win this game 1-0. I think a great effort from Zaltan Ibrahimovic will make PSG win the game in Spain

Bale magic

The amount of times that Gareth Bale has helped Spurs get three points is unbelievable. The welsh man scored two goals yesterday as Tottenham beat Newcastle 2-1. Bale scored twice and he was unlucky not to score a hatrick as Newcastle keeper, Tom Krul denied him with some very good saves.
Bale scored a great free kick early in to the game to make it 1-0 to Tottenham. The dip in the shot was unbelievable and it went in to the bottom corner. As the game was settling down Newcastle made it 1-1! French striker Gouffran had a shot that deflected past the helpless LIoris. But early in to the second half Bale scored again as he ran through the Newcastle back line and he hit past Krul. When everyone thought the game was over Newcastle still wanted a point. But Newcastle huffed and puffed but Tottenham won and got the three points.

Manchester Untied V Everton

Manchester United are boosted by the return of Ashley Young following a five-match absence with a knee injury.
Phil Jones and Michael Carrick have both recovered from the problems which prevented them reporting for international duty during the week.
Everton are hopeful Marouane Fellaini will play despite missing out for Belgium with a hip injury.
Phil Jagielka looks set to overcome an unspecified injury but Tony Hibbert and Seamus Coleman remain out.

Saturday 9 February 2013

Tottenham V Newcastle

Tottenham are without striker Jermain Defoe, who has an ankle injury.
He could be replaced by Emmanuel Adebayor, who is back from the Africa Cup of Nations, although Spurs need to assess the fitness of the Togo forward.
Newcastle welcome back midfielder Cheick Tiote following the Ivory Coast's defeat by Nigeria.
Hatem Ben Arfa's return from a hamstring problem has been delayed by a virus, and he is unlikely to be fit until the end of the month.

Jamie Carragher - The Local Hero

Bye to a footballing legend!

Good bye to a football legend
Yesterday the world was shocked to here the news that Liverpool centre back, Jamie Carragher will retire at the end of the season. The centre back has spent seventeen years at Liverpool as he started in the Liverpool academy. The centre back scored five goals for Liverpool and seven own goals. But you can look at that and laugh saying he scored more own goals than goals for Liverpool but I can remember many times that he has saved Liverpool for his great defending and determination for Liverpool. What I admire about Jamie Carragher is that he always gives 100% and he is a great character in the changing rooms. Liverpool will give Jamie Carragher an ambassador role at the club. But from my opinion he should be still in the Liverpool set up because of his character so he should become a coach.

The perfect match

The perfect match will be played in Madrid on Wednesday. Ronaldo will face his former team. And can Van  Persie add to his petition to be a Manchester Untied legend after only six months at Old Trafford? Mourinho and Sir Alex Ferguson will meet each other for the first time in a few years as they will re unite their rivalry.
Team News: Ronaldo and Benzma fit. De Gea might not start and Robin Van Persie will play.

Carroll back to Newcastle?

West Ham or Newcastle?
Last week West Ham agreed a £15 million deal to bring Liverpool Kop flop, Andy Carroll to London. But now Newcastle have made a bid for him as Carroll would prefer a move back to his former club.
Newcastle are ready to offer Ben Arfa and £10 million for the striker. Liverpool would accept that as they do want Ben Arfa. Ben Arfa has impressed recently but has been out due to injury. Carroll scored thirty one goals at Newcastle before signing for Liverpool in January 2011 for £35 million. Carroll has went out on loan this year to West Ham as he doesn't suit Brendan Rodgers plans. Carroll went to West Ham as he didn't want to move to London. But now that he has been he is enjoying life there. Carroll from my opinion will never play for Liverpool Fc. Carroll has scored two goals in  London as injury has not helped him find his best form.

Liverpool match fixing?

Winner: Dirk Kuyt scores the only goal of the game in the match alleged to be part of the scandal
Mail copyright: Kuyt scoring the winner
The Liverpool Champions League game in 2009 is under instigation due to the Debrecen goalkeeper Vukasin Poleksic.Vukasin Poleksic had a deal with someone that Liverpool will win 3-0. In the end Liverpool only won one goal.
Dirky Kuyt scored the winner in a very tight Champions League game at Anfield. If you would of seen Kuyt's goal it gives you the impression of match fixing as The keeper parried it out to Kuyt to slot in from close range. Liverpool have said that they have not been contacted by Uefa. But what so ever Liverpool Fc where not involved with it. Vukasin Poleksic was banned in 2011 for this claim as he never showed up in court for the hearing. Debrecen have also been involved with an other the same year V Fiorentina as the Italian side won 4-3 in Hungary. If there is any more news on it I will keep you updated!

Deadline day

Sorry I wasn't posting on deadline day as I was on holiday. But I will tell you a few things what happened on deadline day. Anzhi center back, Christopher Samba joined QPR for £12,5 million. The ex Blackburn center back is getting £100,000 a week. And West Brom striker, Peter Odiemwingie turned up to Loftous Road thinking QPR have agreed a fee with West Brom and he looked like a idiot. And Jenas joined QPR on a 18 month contract. Manchester City striker, Mario Balotelli finally joined Ac Milan.
Leeds striker Luchio Bechio joined Norwich and Gary Hooper never signed for Norwich as Celtic rejected four bids from them. Stoke City signed Birmingham keeper, Jack Bultand but he will go on loan back the St Andrews.
