The new Anfield

Today the Liverpool owners FSG have announced that they will extend Anfield to 60,000 in capacity.
Liverpool have had a long journey to get to this stage as they tried several times in the past but failed. But now the key points are that construction will start in 2014 and it will cost around £150million! From fact Pride park, Derby's ground it could make Pride Parks and that is a nice 33,000 capacity.
Liverpool have lost out to Tottenham last year in Match day revenue and they need more money now Liverpool. Anfield is the 6th biggest ground in the premier League but if construction goes ahead it will either be second or third. These are some picture of how it would like the New Anfield. To do this they have to smash down some houses but they have been promised new houses and probably better! But nobody knows the plans the ones that you see at the bottom of the page are ideas or the favourites of whats going to happen. Liverpool have spent their whole football history at Anfild after getting it from local rivals Everton who moved down the road to Goodinson.  The plans are that there will be a capacity of 60,000. There will be 54,000 season ticket holders, 4,000 to sell on the day and 2,000 away fans.
