But because in the German league you get £2 million to move up a place and Schalke 04 believe if they keep Hotby he will get there value for him for Champions League football.
Also Schalke 04 striker, Klaas Jan Huntelaar is ready to sign for Arsenal for £6 million as his contract runs out in the summer, and Liverpool have found a release Claus for the striker, but have removed their interest.
