Sunderland in talks with Former Everton player

Sunderland are in talks with former Everton attacking midfielder, Tim Cahill on a loan. Tim Cahill joined New York Red Bulls in the last summer transfer market. But he has failed to impress Cahill only scoring one goal. But the Australian believes that he can find his best form in the Premier League. Everton were the favourites to get him on loan but now they have pulled out of the offer as they want no old players to ruin their challenge for the top four.
Sunderland are lacking goals this season and Martin O'Neil believes Cahill can help them with that. From sources with will only be a small loan so from January to the end of February so they can be back for the start of the MLS. But the deal could be until the season ends as Cahill needs to find form. The attacking midfielder has a great record in the Premier League scoring 124 goals. Not a bad record. But in the past he did play as a striker. But Premier League sides don't want Cahill except of  Sunderland because he only scored one league goal last year and two in all competitions.
