Sunderland sack Martin O'Neil

The end for O'Neil
Last night the footballing world was shocked as Sunderland manager, Martin O'Neil was sacked as the Sunderland manager. He was sacked as Sunderland lost to Manchester Untied at The stadium of Light as an Titus Bramble own goal got the three points for Sunderland.
O'Neil leaves Sunderland 16th in the Premier League and only one point away from the drop zone. Martin O'Neil was appointed Sunderland manager December 2011. He got off to a good start as they beat Blackburn with a late free kick. But this season, Sunderland have been poor. They have been unable to score goals and their top quality players are not performing. Sunderland have said they will try to replace him this week with the likes of: Guus Poyet, David Moyes. Paoli Di Canio and many more. People have been saying why would Moyes leave Everton to join Sunderland, but he might as they have money to spend if they stay up.

Reading get Adkins

New Reading manager
Sorry I have not been on for a while as my Internet and my computer broke. But lets get back to the news that former Southampton manager, Nigel Adkins is the new Reading manager.
Reading sacked Brain McDermott a few weeks ago and they have contacted many managers to help them stay up in the Premier League. If Reading do get relegated their mega rich Russian owner will give Adkins a whopping £30 million to spend in the Championship.
Reading enjoyed some good form over Christmas, and throughout that spell they got the nickname "come back kings". But sadly a few bad performances in the new year got McDermott the sack. Adkins has to be a genius if Reading stay up because they are seven points adrift of safety and with no Transfer market to help he will have to use his wise tactics. But to end on a joke, If Reading stay up and Southampton go down how annoyed will Southampton fans be?

Happy Birthday Torres!!!!!!

Owen to retire at the end of the season!

Owen scoring V Manchester City
Today Michael Owen has announced his retirement. Michael Owen has enjoyed a very successful career scoring many goals and winning many trophy's.
My Favourite memory of Michael Owen is when he scored two goals late on against Arsenal in the Fa Cup Final in 2001. It was my favourite memory of him as he was young  and Liverpool have been hammered the whole Game V Arsenal and in the end they won 2-1. At Liverpool and Real Madrid he had a very good record with goals and his fitness. But when he joined Newcastle his fitness record sank faster than the Titanic as he didn't even average half of Newcastle games.
After his bad spell at Newcastle he joined Liverpool arch rivals, Manchester Untied on a free transfer. Several attempts for Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard to make Owen joined were rejected by Rafa.  His best moment came in a Manchester Untied shirt when he scored a last minute winner in the Manchester Derby as Manchester Untied clinched it from a well earned draw for Manchester City. And in the same season Michael Owen scored a hatrick in the Champions League against German champions (at the time) Wolfsburg. Manchester Untied released Owen and he moved to Stoke City. He has only scored one goal and that was against Swansea as Stoke lost 3-1. Now he may become an FA ambassador as he has announced his retirement at the end of the season. Owen has also made 89 caps for England and scored against Germany as England beat them 5-1 in their own country.

Reading players don't want Di Canio!

Di Canio at Swindon Town
Reading players have gone public today that they do not want Ex Swindon boss, Paolo Di Canio. Last month Di Canio resigned at Swindon Town as he says "broken promises were made".
The Reading players fear with eight games left Di Canio does't have enough Premier League experience and they say he is always angry. Di Canio has had several scraps or hand bags you may say with two players at Swindon. Di Canio won League two with Swindon on his first season and before he left they were second in League One after a great run before Christmas. Reading have also been linked with Nigel Adkins and Roberto Di Matteo to guide them the Premier League survival. But with the new manager they can not buy any players as the Transfer window is closes so the new manager needs to lift the side. And any way Reading are also looking at likes of Di Matteo and Di Canio because they have experience of getting clubs promoted to the higher League. The Reading owner wants them to stay up but he may look to get promoted next year again.

Di Canio to save Reading?

Ex Swindon boss, Paolo Di Canio has emerged favourite to become the new Reading manager. On Monday Reading sacked their manager Brain McDermott. Ex Swindon boss was at his last game as Reading lost to relegation struggler's, Aston Villa.
Ex Chelsea boss, Roberto Di Matteo is also been linked, and Ex Southampton manager Nigel Adkins. McDermott enjoyed a good spell over Christmas and just now it has fell apart, Reading have lost their last four games. My Favourite choice will be Di Canio as he is a strong character to change the dressing room as he can not buy any one as the Transfer window is closed. So now can Reading stay up? On Saturday they face a very strong Manchester Untied side.

Wigan are so weird!

FT: Everton 0-3 WiganA humiliating defeat for Everton in a game they were really expected to win. Wigan's three goals came in four minutes in the first half when Everton's defence switched off completely. The goals were scored by Figueroa, McManaman and Gomez. In the second half Wigan held on comfortably for the win and David Moyes will be bitterly disappointed in his side for failing to put Wigan under any real pressure.

Fergie is fuming!

Manchester United's Nani
Nani getting sent off!
When Sergio Ramos scored an own goal last night for Manchester Untied all of the 70,000 Manchester Untied fans must of been confident of a victory.
But in the 56th minute the referee sent off Nani for a high challenge. It was a bad decision and that was a crucial moment in the tie as former Tottenham midfielder, Luka Modric levelled with a great striker from around twenty five yards! It looked like it was wide but it swung in to the the inside of the post when it went in. And then to add to the pain to Manchester Untied fans, their former hero scored. Yes you know who it is, Ronaldo scored from close range as it was a good ball in.After that Manchester Untied had a few chances  but some good saves from Lopez denied Rooney twice! So it was a sad end for Ryan Giggs 1000th game. People are suggesting now that Rooney may leave as he did not start. Welbeck replaced him as he works harder up front.
