Redknapp maybe back to his beloved club Bouremouth

Redknapp at Bouremouth!

HARRY REDKNAPP is in the frame for a return to management at Bournemouth after the League One club fired Paul Groves and assistant Shaun Brooks.

Groves, 46, and former Crystal Palace midfield player Brooks had only been in charge five months but presided over a dismal record of one win in 10 games.

Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell bowed to fan pressure in axing former West Ham coach Groves, who had only replaced Lee Bradbury in May.

Mitchell co-owns the Cherries with Russian petrol billionaire Maxim Demin, who has pumped in £6m.

Redknapp, a close friend and neighbour of Mitchell, was enlisted as an unpaid advisor and was last week sounded out about becoming manager after previously being in charge before he moved to West Ham.

Mitchell said: ”I have spoken to Harry at great length about different things at the club and he knows my feelings. Harry is his own man and he knows what he wants to do.”
