Spain international Pablo Hernandez has completed his move from Valencia to Swansea for £5.55million on a three-year deal.
Swans boss Michael Laudrup has been aiming to bolster his options out wide for a while now and had been keen to bring the player whom he had previously worked with at Getafe to the Liberty Stadium.
The South Wales club had seen offers of £4million and £5.1million rejected, but a third and final bid has been accepted by the Primera Liga club.
Hernandez had spoken of his desire to be reunited with Laudrup, and was left out of Valencia's squad for their opening two games of the season.
The player has agreed personal terms and subject to international clearance he will come in as a direct replacement for Scott Sinclair, who sealed his switch to Manchester City earlier on Friday afternoon.
Hernandez, 27, told the club's official website: "I'm very happy to become a Swansea City player.
"It was my target as soon as I knew there was interest. There were offers from other clubs, but this was the only club I wanted to join."
Meanwhile, Laudrup revealed his excitement at the prospect of working with the right-winger once again by telling Sky Sports News: "It's done and we're happy. He's a player I know and he's a good player that wants to come here and that's the most important thing. We want players that wants to come to this club."
