He wont leave I think |
This is not to say that Danish international Daniel Agger is not a good player, on his day he is a top quality centre back, but such an offer will simply not be accepted by Roberto Mancini. After all the Italian is probably only looking for a defensive back-up to keep first choice pair Vincent Kompany and Joleon Lescott on their toes, a job that they can of course look to Kolo Toure to perform.
It’s worth remembering that Agger has had his fair share of injury issues over the years, hence him only notching up 109 Premier League starts in seven seasons at Anfield.
However a move to coax Man City into selling, or loaning, Adam Johnson to Liverpool could be a ‘goer’ so Brendan Rodgers may wish to pursue that move to help boost his option on the flanks. The England international is criminally underused by the Premier League title holders and given that neither Jordan Henderson or Stewart Downing impressed last term any move to bring in a winger would probably be welcomed. But that is unlikely after this picture from Lfc of Agger's knuckles.
