Dempsey saga carries on

Clint Dempsey will once again be missing from the Fulham squad this weekend as his situation remains the same and there are still no official bids on the table.

The American was left out of Martin Jol's plans for last Saturday's victory over Norwich after making it clear that he wanted to secure a move elsewhere.
Liverpool have expressed an interest in Dempsey and Jol admitted it was an 'embarrassing' issue.
However, the Reds have yet to table an offer and that has left the player and the club in limbo, with Dempsey not involved during pre-season.
Jol is frustrated by Liverpool's conduct and feels a distracted Dempsey is not in the right frame of mind to play once more against Manchester United on Saturday.
"It's the same situation. There has been no formal bid on the table and nothing has changed," Jol said.
As understands Tottenham, Sunderland, QPR, West Ham and Aston Villa are all monitoring his situation ahead of the transfer window closing next week.
