Fenerbahce have clinched the permanent signing of Nigerian defender Joseph Yobo from Everton on a three-year deal.
Yobo has spent the past couple of seasons on loan with the Turkish club, making 62 league appearances and scoring two goals.
Everton still have strength in depth at the back so they decided to enter into talks with Fenerbahce over a sale, and an undisclosed fee has been agreed between the two clubs.
Yobo was David Moyes' first signing when he joined Everton in 2002 from Marseille and made 220 league appearances for the Toffees.
He also became the first African player to captain Everton, but fell down the pecking order following the signings of Sylvian Distin and John Heitinga.
