Rafael van der Vaart's agent has confirmed that his client is on his way out of Tottenham and is set to re-sign for Bundesliga side Hamburg.
The Dutch midfielder was pictured gathering his belongings from Spurs' training ground on Friday morning before beating a hasty retreat.
It was expected that he was on his way back to Germany, where he spent three productive years between 2005 and 2008.
Van der Vaart's representative has revealed that is the case, with the 29-year-old all set to undergo a medical in Hamburg.
Should everything progress as planned, with a fee still to be agreed, the Holland international will bring an end to a two-year stint at White Hart Lane.
He becomes the second creative talent to head through the exits at Tottenham during the summer transfer window, with Luka Modric having already completed a move to Real Madrid.
"I can confirm that Rafael is on his way to Hamburg now for a medical," said Van der Vaart's agent Robert Geerlings.
"No fee has been agreed, but when a player goes for a medical it is clear that the two parties intend to find a solution."
